Year of the Dragon
One winter in the high mountains, a baby was left abandoned. Different causes of death raced to be the first to claim the infant: cold, hunger, or animals to name a few. Fate spared this baby as pair-bonded dragons flew through the mountains. Their long, serpentine bodies rose and fell through the clouds, and their manes and antlers gave them a noble aura. They each had long whiskers as well that flowed with their movements. The patriarch had fiery red scales with sandy underbelly. The matriarch had deep blue scales and a more golden scaled underbelly. Such beings as large as a barge as they sailed through the air as easily as a snake slithered on the ground may never have noticed such a small thing. The cries of the human infant caught the ear of the blue matriarch. She paused and sailed down to the source. “Da Jiang,” She spoke to her love, “Why would anyone leave a child here like this?” “I do not know, Tian Kuo.” The Red Dragon answered perplexed. It was at a flea market when Sam spotted it. Perched along a row of gray videogame cartridges on a shelf within the nondescript stall, was the elusive game that he thought was long lost to him. A story driven role playing game for the Nintendo Entertainment System called Secret of Fae, a game he held near and dear to his heart from the countless cherished memories he had playing it during his childhood. Even more miraculous was that it was the very same cartridge that he had once owned himself before he lost it, recognizable by the distinctive dent on the left corner of it. On impulse, he ran up to the shelf and snatched the game before anyone else could and bought it on the spot without a second thought to its price, though the game was obscure enough that it did not warrant a steep price tag, thankfully. After landing the biggest find of his life yet, Sam excitedly ran back to his car and drove back to his apartment before he carefully stowed away the game in a

Motherhood (Ena TF)
Ena believed she had been alive long enough to be familiar with the Monsties that roamed her land. She was beginning to push out of her adolescence, now having the experience of a Wyverian who had lived for nearly two centuries, and during that time, she had traveled with countless human companions. Their shorter lifespans had always meant they always had that spark of discovery in their eyes, that much greater desire to leave a mark on the world that she had always admired. And that spark had always led them to new Monsties, new locations, and new ecosystems. After a certain point, she believed she didn’t have anymore to personally discover. The humans had already taught her so much during their short time on the planet. But the clutch of large eggs that was sitting in front of her was something she had never seen before. She had seen Monstie eggs before as well as the hives and nests of their much wilder counterparts. However, the color and glow of the eggs in front of her were
Werewolf of Fire “…Eighteen… nineteen… twenty!” Mindy Guinn placed the bar back into the catcher, her trainer Larry who had been counting was now carefully observing her breathing as she finished on the bench. “Good session,” he said. “You handle two-twenty with ease now. Time to up the weight again.” “I’m not going for competition, Larry,” the young woman said as she sat up. “I don’t need to look any more muscle-bound than I do.” Larry shook his head. “You’re the least muscle-bound woman I know who can press two-twenty.” She gave him a glare and he hastily added, “You have excellent tone! You’re well over elite levels for your weight. Why you aren’t in competition is beyond me.” “All I need is to keep up with the lunk-heads in the station,” Mindy answered as she stood up, her 5’8” frame glistening from her workout. “I’m good where I am. It’s time to level out my training.” She began to wipe down the bench. “You do better than most of them that come
